STUDENT AID FOR CHURCH WORKERS
Due to the high cost of becoming a full-time church worker, many students find it difficult to complete their schooling. A grant of $25,000 is requested to provide partial funding to students from the CID so they may realize their dream of becoming full-time church workers. The aid would be distributed through the CID-LCMS Scholarship Committee. |

PORTABLE PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM FOR CAMP CILCA
Camp Cilca is a 240-acre full-service camp located 11 miles north of Springfield. The camp was created in 1950 by the Central Illinois District LCMS to provide a leisure and spiritual experience for district youth. A portable public address system will significantly improve hearing speakers/leaders in the Christian Growth Center building, when groups gather, as well as at outdoor gatherings for Bible study and worship. Its portability will enable it to also be used to quickly notify all those at the camp in an emergency.

A CHILDREN'S GARDEN OF BIBLE STORIES FOR THE KUSASI PEOPLE OF GHANA
Since it was founded in 1992, the Lutheran Heritage Foundation has taken advantage of political and cultural doors opening in countries around the world. In Ghana, where more than 400,000 people of the Kusasi tribe speak the Kusaal language precious few books are available the teach people about Jesus. The Kusaal-language edition of A Child's Garden of Bible Stories will aid this effort greatly. The translation work has already been completed by Rev. Salifu. Once the books are published and shipped to Ghana, they will be distributed to the 15 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana located in Kusasi lands.

LIBERIAN CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (Partial funding of $5,000)
Liberia has suffered a 14-year-long Civil War, which uprooted half of its pre-war population, killed more than 200,000 people, and left behind many orphaned children. The Liberian Children's Ministry is serving as an extension of the ministering arm of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Liberia, by providing quality education for God's children. LCMS trained missionary and Liberian native Joe Boway and his ministry team operate 11 schools in rural Liberia with requests from other surrounding villages and parents as well. Your support will fund one school of 200 children for a year at $25.00 per child.
